The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially announced the sale of application documents for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) for the 2026/2027 admission session in Nigeria.
JAMB Registration Age Limit 2026
- Only candidates who will not be less than 16 years old by 30th September, 2026, are generally eligible to apply/be considered.”
- Provision for Candidates Below 16 Years (Underage Waiver)
JAMB has made a very strict exception for exceptionally brilliant underage candidates: - Must score not less than 80% in EACH of the following:
- UTME or A-Level
- Post-UTME
- SSCE
- Exceptional Candidate Assessment (conducted by JAMB)
Such candidates will undergo intensive evaluation before a waiver is granted. Their UTME results will NOT be released until the complete evaluation process is concluded.
